"My freelance writing life has flourished. Marla's coaching really works." --D. Texter, author
In weekly 60-minute calls, I'll teach you the same coaching strategies I use with my individual clients to help them overcome blocks and stay relaxed, focused and productive.
Each week you'll have an opportunity to:
- set and report on weekly goals
- discover more about what motivates you and what holds you back
- learn proven productivity, time- and mindset- management strategies
Small-group coaching creates synergy and momentum for everyone who participates! Better yet: you'll enjoy these benefits at just a fraction of the cost of individual coaching.
"I can't imagine having finished the novel so quickly, and so well, without her guidance." -D. Schrifin, columnist

Quick synopsis? I'm a happy, positive, creative writer, mother and jazz singer. And a darn good coach.
My coaching perspectives are influenced by my experiences as a young cancer survivor, a long-time student of meditation and a "left-brain /right-brain" type of person.
Since recovering from Hodgkin's lymphoma twice in my 20s, I have established an ongoing meditation practice, lost 25 pounds and dramatically shifted my mindset from "life happens to me" to "I'm an active, empowered agent." I strive daily to remember how fantastic it is to be alive, healthy and creative and I love sharing my enthusiasm and sense of possibility with my clients.
I earned my MFA in creative writing (emphasis in poetry) from George Mason University, and I trained and certified as a professional life coach through the Coach Training Alliance. I am an active member of the International Coach Federation and North Bay Coaches, my local ICF chapter here in Marin County, California.
Since launching my professional coaching practice in 2005, I've coached hundreds of writers. I'm in love with my life and my work and can't wait to help you reach your goals the "Relaxed Writer" way.
And don't hesitate to call me at (888) 719-6817 if I can answer any questions.
Here's to a fantastic 2010!
sincerely,
Coach Marla
